Which skill division should I sign up for?
US Squash has a rating system for all players. If you are new to squash and do not yet have a player rating, you can use the description found on the US Squash Rating Criteria by Skill and Level page to figure out what level to start at. Please click here to access the US Squash Criteria by Skill and Level page.
However, if you have already had results recorded on your profile from participation in a league or an accredited event, your rating will start to be calculated after you have had at least one win and one loss against rated players. Once you have a US Squash skill level rating, you should sign up for events based on this rating.
For tournaments with skill level division, each division is an indication of the upper bound of the skill levels that are permitted to participate in that division. For example, a 4.5 division is open to only players who have a rating under 4.5 - anyone rated 1.5 - 4.49 is permitted to play in this division.
