How should I process a mid-tournament withdrawal?
A mid-tournament withdrawal is any situation where a player starts a tournament, but does not show up to play a scheduled match. In these cases, the withdrawal should be recorded as a default on the draw. To do so:
Step 1: From the "Switch to Admin View" screen, go to the draws section.
Step 2: Use the "Division" and "Section" drop downs to select the draw in question.
Step 3: Click on the match that was not played.
Step 4: Click the "Enter Score" button.
Step 5: Use the "Winner" drop down to indicate which player wins the match
Step 6: Use the "Status" drop down to list the match as a default (match was not played)
Step 7: Click the blue "Submit" button.
Once the score has been submitted as a default, the winning player will be moved to the next round and a BYE will show up in any back draws the withdrawn player would have dropped into.
